Merry Christmas!

On a much different note, Christmas is here to help distract me from all the other stuff I need to get done. This year, being at Communications Group, I get a few days off to relax. In about 45 min, I'll be heading out of the office for a nice 4 day break.

My 'Christmas' started last Sunday with supper at the Bollinger farm. It was a really great time visiting with most of my family, and running around after Nichole. We had a great (very filling!) supper, and opened gifts. Once the younger members opened their specific presents, the rest of us took part in the traditional Chinese Gift Exchange. Not a lot of gift stealing happened, but the Edmonton Oilers mug set that I ended up with I had to take from my cousin. I ended up leaving it there anyway, so I'll have to go out and get it in the next few days.

The next Christmas gathering for me will be tonight at Mandi's family cabin. Tomorrow morning we head to Edmonton to spend the day with Lee (my younger brother) and have dinner with him and the family there. Then, we'll start boxing day off with a visit to Mandi's Mom's place, and end the holiday festivities visiting my Aunt, Uncle and cousins at the Calliou family home. After that, I'll be able to enjoy a couple days off (the weekend) trying to complete the electrical install in the basement of my future home.

I hope you're able to enjoy your Christmas, and I hope when it's all done with, you're feeling more than just fat and hung over (I'm with you on the fat part), and I hope you're happy with whatever gifts you receive. But whatever the case, I hope you remember why the Christmas season was made a Holiday, and how ironic it is that we stress so much trying to make it festive. I don't really need to say anymore.

Happy Holidays, have a great Christmas!
