What? It's March already? Wow. I mean, I know February is a short month, but really. I guess considering I was gone for a week, that only leaves 3. And those 3 were hectically spent trying to sell a house (still for sale, by the way) and thinking about studying for my EMT course. So, I guess it's acceptable.
And amidst it all, I was even able to go to a show. On the14th, Valentine's Day, we went to the theatre totally unaware of the play list. By the time we got there, our choices were limited. We chose "The Eagle". It started off really strong, and I thought we were in for a great ride. But then (and I hope this doesn't ruin it for you), Channing Tatum gets injured in the first battle scene, and the movie gears down to a crawl. Great story though, based on Rosemary Sutcliff's book "The Eagle of the Ninth", if you're into historic Roman themed adventures. I think I'll pass on the DVD, as I already have the higher paced but similar themed "Centurion".
And I can't believe I almost forgot! Chronicles Of Narnia - Voyage Of The Dawn Treader came out in December, and we of course we went to see it. It was a good movie, as I expected, but, also as I expected I suppose, the movie had some significant differences to the book. And, what's with trying to make everything 3 D? I mean, seriously. I don't think anything jumped out at me, as far as I can remember. But I do recall being regularly annoyed by those glasses. And what? 3D movies cost more to see? Good movie, some small annoyances. |
